 Which Shocks
My dad works with a fellow that has two sets of shocks brand new for sale.. I have first dibs on which shocks i would like, if I wanted them.. I'm in need of some new shocks so which one is better.. A set of Rough Country Hydro or Skyjacker Hydros.. what do you guys think.... are any of these better than the others or should I just pass.. the RC are $120 and the Skyjackers are $135... Both sets part numbers are for my TJ and are for around 2.5 inches of lift, which is good for my setup... so what are some opinions on these shocks

 Re: Which Shocks
I have the skyjacker hydro's on my Jeep. I put them on in July, I think it was. They don't ride BAD, but Not as good as I thought they might. I will let you know to check the red bushings that come with these shocks. SkyJacker put out a TON of bad bushings for about a 2-3 month span. They will send you replacements for free, but it was a PIA for me. I say, if you choose the SkyJackers, call the company and tell them you bought them over the summer and are afraid they might have bad bushings. they will send you a whole new set for free. Then you'll have an extra set. If the bushings are bright red, they are bad, don't put them on your Jeep. You want the ones that are a deep dark red color. Let me know if you want more info on it.

 Re: Which Shocks
in reality both brands of hydro shocks were probably made by the same company..., the difference is the sticker that comes with the shocks..
one will read Rough Country, while the other will read Skyjacker

 Re: Which Shocks
You prolly won't notice a big diffrence in either one of them I would say there about the same in quality. I do know Heckthorn (Roughcountry) does have a lifetime warranty on there shocks but I don't think that this would be for wearing out but on manufacter defects. I have ran several Heckthorns on my stuff and have never had a problem out of them.

one will read Rough Country, while the other will read Skyjacker I'd think that is very likely also.
