Re: Building the perfect (TJ) beast / 56k WARNING!!!!!!!
Need some opinions.
Should I use the trac bars that came with the RC kit or should I keep my JKS adjustable bars?
I would think the RC bars are "engineered" to specifically work with this kit, but the JKS bars are probably a little better quality, right?
Decisions, decisions................

Go for the adjustable but keep the RC as a spare. Trust me, they bend & kink easier than you think

Re: Building the perfect (TJ) beast / 56k WARNING!!!!!!!
Finished up the rear this evening. Still need to cut the remainder of the control arm mounting brackets from the frame rails. Took the plasma cutter and cut them even with the bottom of the frame rail, but still need to clean them up a bit. Any suggestions for this? I had the grinder out, but was afraid I would cut into the frame and weaken it.

Re: Building the perfect (TJ) beast / 56k WARNING!!!!!!!
The ride on the long arms is MUCH smoother. Good investment as far as I'm concerned. Gonna have to get some bigger tires to fill up all of that empty space now.

BTW, what tires & size are you looking at? Trying to find some 33's to call my own. Probably going down to a 15" wheel, seems like the tires are much cheaper. If I can't sell the ones I have, I'll just run them until their bald and maybe buy an extra set of rims and some used MT's for when I want to play in the dirt. I would like to avoid changing tires every time I want to go out though. I like the Goodyear Dura tracs, but don't know how they would wear over the long haul. It's a pretty agressive tread design for an AT, but still has some good road manners. Same tread depth as the MTRs too.
