All in all it wasn't a bad day, got the old frame out of the way, Engine painted and  set in new frame, and I got the tub sitting back on it, Hopefully tomorrow I will have the tub bolted back in and start working on relocating the engine ..

Well,  today I  got the Body bolted back on,Minus one broken body mount.... placed the rear axle back in,

I have a few more tweaks to go before makeing the new engine mounts , but I'm fairly happy with the new location... Should take some stress out of my drive line, Lower my cg,  and give me enough hood space for the Hy35w..   =D

update:Unfortunatly work has been keeping me too busy to work on it, so not much progress has gotten done lately...I'm starting to get that Jeep fever again.. I've been trying to talk myself out of doing twin turbos..hy35/hx52...  I've made plans for the rear shock mounts, and how I'm going to mount the new intercooler/radiator set up.  Still have to mount the 5th link, run fuel and break lines yet. Need to get this done before it gets cold >.<

Thanks, I had been kicking the idea around for quite awhile, I personaly love the set up, It's got all the power I'd ever need plus I get 25+mpg out of it, best tank was just a little over 30mpg .. but there is a lot involved.. The only thing I havent broken oddly enough is the dana 30, front driveshaft and the 231..

If you plan on going this route, plan on major driveline upgrades.  I'm honestly surprised the 231 is still holding up. The D35 didn't make 200 miles before it gave up.

It's an ebay special, It's not as heavy as you might think, going to use it as pattern for a stronger unit later on down the road.

Things I'm planning on building/adding once I get it rolling again.

*a full cage for it with frame to body/cage tie-ins for strength and to limit body movement cause by the body lift, I also plan on redoing to seat mounts to tie into the cage, got to keep it safe with a kid on the way now.

* 3/16 armor around the rear of the tub

*setting up an onboard air  and welder.

*a rear tire carrier with at least 2 jerry cans for fuel/water

*Kicking around getting a pto driven hydro pump and installing a hydro winch.

*Finding a replacement for the D30 ( I know it's going to break sooner or later )

open for other idea's also.
