Re: Running the Cj

[quote="jeepjockey"]Ran the Randolph county fair this past weekend. Stepped the nitrous up a little and had a blast. Here's videos of the three runs. Broke an axle the third pass so if any buddy has a 9" ford box bronco 28 spline shaft I'd like to buy it. You can get these in a 31 spline chromo vers...

Re: Tire balancing

I run 5000 air soft pellets per tire and have had my beadlocks at 75 on the interstate. This^^^^ If you are still getting shakes, you aren't using enough. They quite simply work. And yes.....type of pellets etc doesn't matter, and the dynabead chart RARELY ever tells you to use enough weight. I hav...

Re: On board air...what do you use?

FWIW.....I used tractor trailer airline brake hose for all of my lines, It works really well, and is designed to see road conditions. It is expensive, but I never had ANY problems out of it.

Re: On board air...what do you use?

I have a York I would let go of if anyone is interested. That is what I always used, and I loved it. I plumbed the bumpers to act as my air tanks.

Re: Cracked plug weld fixin

Another option is to simply hit the plug weld with a torch. Burn away any impurities, and then weld it as it sits. Yube isn't going anywhere......just keep it from leaking. Don't over-complicate it.

If you want to use square, I have 21' of 1/4" 2x2 at the house Jack. You can get the square bung inserts for the joints that you have right now.

Re: welding steel to cast

The biggest thing to consider is carbon content. What I have always used to determine how well weld will take is if it throws a good shower of sparks when you hit it with a grinder, then it is generally good to go to weld to. After that.....I just weld it. I have not had any issues with it. So my ad...
