Re: First time setting up a CB

My uniden came with an inline fuse. I used a section of antenna cable ran straight to the battery for power.

Re: Heater control issues, Fan Speed

This is a common problem with TJ's. Crappy switches, wiring, and resistors. I'm on my second resistor and need another already. I'm just glad my TJ takes the newer style resistor which is half the price of the other style. My switch/wiring burned up this time too though :( There's a few threads on j...

Re: Your lift and your thoughts

I have a 1.25" bl, 1" mml, and a 2" budget boost lift. My stock coils were in good shape so it was a cheap and dirty way to get the height I needed for 33's. Wasn't the best setup but it wasn't terrible (for my needs). 40k miles later, my stock coils are really sagging. I started collecting parts fo...

Re: Where to mount the solenoid box??

Mounted mine on the second battery tray on the drivers side...or abs tray or whatever it's for. Then bought welding cable pre-crimped from Ebay.

Re: DIY killswitch

or just get a regular key cut and tape the sentry key in your steering column so its always there :D seriously though, call the dealer and get another key. if you lose that key you're boned for awhile... Once you get 2 keys, you can order blanks off ebay, have the key cut for a buck or 2, then your ...

Re: DIY killswitch

If you have 2 grey keys, make a third. Its cheap and easy to make a new third key. If you only have 1 its a PITA to get a new key and will run around $100 if I remember right...

Re: DIY killswitch

If you have a sentry key do you really need a kill switch? Your Jeep will shut off after 3 seconds without the key in range....

Re: DIY killswitch

Honest question...

Noticed you have a gray key. Doesn't gray key=sentry key=factory anti-theft device?

Re: Re: Drive Shaft Question

Just pulled one yesterday get a good six piont wrench or socket X2. I pulled the one off my tj without dropping the skid....its tight though. I took mine to Champion in Grafton. Dropped it off after work and picked it up the next afternoon. Think it was around $130 for 3 ujoints and the new centeri...

Re: Bad U-Joint?

Nope. Shaft doesn't need balanced if you're just replacing the centering ball and the ujoints.

I was pressed for time so I just dropped mine off @ Champion in Grafton. He uses all Spicer parts and had it done the same day I dropped it off. Think he charged ~$35 for labor.
