Re: 2013 JK NOT a Rubicon, NOT going to build this one....

The Pro Rock 44 wasn't ordered just for the purpose of upgrading. I knew I had some issues in he front end. I've had a speed based noise when in 4 wheel drive (sounded like vibration but wasn't felt like you would expect from the sound). A front Driveshaft failure was expected so I had a driveshaft ...

Gona start pulling the 30 now.

The 4.56 Gears for Mindy's 4dr showed up today too and I need to get the Truetrac out of my 30 to put in hers.

2013 JK NOT a Rubicon, NOT going to build this one....

Started off with a plain base model 2 door JK. Only thing I wanted was 3.73 gears so it would be comfortable with 285's. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d200/xjyjslade/2013%20Jk/DSCN1158_zps68e99a32.jpg Through some 18/60 coils on and picked up a set of 285/70R17 Fierce Attitude tires on a set of ...

Re: Goodyear MTR/k opinions

That would be great, I'd like to be able to get 25000 out of my set. I think that would be reasonable. I was trying to estimate the mileage Dad has on his. He has had them on since around 12 and probably only puts 2500-3000 miles on the truck a year. Miles are mostly in the winter and often hauling...

Re: Goodyear MTR/k opinions

I bought a set for my Dad's 97 F250 extended cab long bed diesel. He doesn't put a lot of miles on his truck but they are wearing well (despite lack of proper rotation) and he is happy with them. He had always ran cheap tires that only lasted a couple years or 15K miles. I have a set of 5 that I've ...

Re: Alternative to Aftermarket Tire Carrier

I may look into the heater hose for the 4 door. I have a 35" tire on factory wheel hanging off the back and with the 1.25" wheel spacer the bumbers are not touching. Heater hose is simple enough to make work.

Re: Alternative to Aftermarket Tire Carrier

As long as they snugged (pressed against) up against the tire and limit vibration and rattling, they are doing all they need to do. As long as your heater hose is preventing the tire from shaking and limiting vibration/rattles, the heater hose is fine. If the heater hose is just filling the gap, it'...

Re: Alternative to Aftermarket Tire Carrier

Your only running a 285. Yea you have a little more weight but it's not excessive even with less BS. Take the shake and vibration out of the tire with these. http://www.northridge4x4.com/suspension/suspension-components/bump-stops/daystar-jeep-wrangler-jk-tailgate-bump-stops? Or if you want a little...

Re: Front Axle U joint

Hammer and a solid surface to remove the old joints. An anvil and a piece of round stock or bolt will work great. Having an extra set of hands make the much easier and will help avoid smashed/ pinched fingers. When installing the new joint, install one cap at a time. Put the cross in the joint and l...

Re: Excellent customer service from Poision Spyder

Do what you want with them. PSC is cutting their losses by not paying return shipping on a part they can't sell. They are already at a loss because a part slipped through their QC. They probably figure they will find their way onto another Jeep which will be a benefit to them since that will be one ...

Re: Hi-Tuck Exhausts

When we gonna wheel together man? 👍 soon I hope. I just have to wait on a front driveshaft issue to get sorted out. Either having it exchanged for a correct length or they are gonna cover cost to have Champion re-tube it. So I should be ready in a week or 2. I have the TSLs on it already so just wa...
