Re: Hi-Tuck Exhausts

I'm running MBRP offroad exhaust on my 2 door. It relocates the muffler and has a single dump that is tucked up and about as short as you would want. Not my first choice for sound and tone but was more concerned with relocating the muffler. The are a few outa box kits from different manufacturers th...

Re: JK High Steer Kit Suggestions

Yes they do. Running their coils and rear axle side trackbar bracket on the 4 door and have their full skid to go on the 2 door. The 2 door has their lower rear shock mounts installed and upper mounts waiting to be installed.

Re: Lift install shops in area?

I'm in Kingwood and could probably take care of you if your interested (depending on weather). I've lifted quite a few XJs and did my first around 18 years ago. Could probably save you a few dollars compared to having a shop do it. Post here or text me at 304-216-3106 if your interested. You can als...

Re: Rear Shock Dilemma

5100s have a small body... smaller than most others.

Without correcting the mount issue, how are you going to have the needed clearance at full bump (when the shock body consumes the length of the shaft)?

They might but I doubt it. No patches, plugs, holes or chunking.

Re: Pit Bull Rockers/TSL SX

If you want to step up to a 37, Ive been considering selling my 37" Bias Rockers so they don't go to waste sitting on a Jeep that never moves.

Re: Pit Bull Rockers/TSL SX

I'm happy with the Rockers. They are a great mixed terrain trail tire. If your mainly into mud and soft stuff a Swamper will be a better choice. Mixed hard packed dirt, rock, mud, and undisturbed trails a Rocker will be better. The SX's are heavy and tough so their street manners will suffer over th...

Re: JK transmission issues

I don't know how much or if it even applies the JK transmissions, but a lot of times when they are rebuilt they use revised/improved parts to replace problematic parts. Sometimes it's a small part that breaks or malfunctions that causes a low pressure and takes out the rest of the transmission. Some...

Re: leaf springs and panhard/track bar..

My main concern is loosing turning radius without it. As it is now you can see the springs deflect on the bushings when you steer, the axle will actually shift left/right somewhat. I know this will have to affect steering somewhat by not allowing full swing of the drag link and tie rod. And I think...

Re: leaf springs and panhard/track bar..

Thats what i was trying to convey, that the trac bar will cause binding because its fixed where as the drag link can effectively become longer or shorter depending on pitman arm location and following the natural movement of the suspension. The tires will move (knuckles will turn) before the pitman...

Re: leaf springs and panhard/track bar..

I see where your going with building it to mimic the drag link but the drag link isnt a fixed point. The pitman arm and steering gear can move to follow the natural movement of the springs, where a fixed point for a trac bar would cause binding. The reason it must "mimic" the drag link is because t...

Re: leaf springs and panhard/track bar..

Your on the right track with matching it to your drag link. You need them both to travel in the same arc to avoid bump steer. Unless you plan on redoing your steering, your mounting points are sorta already determined by your drag link. A track bar may be a good addition but it will naturally confli...
