Re: May soon become, "One of You" - Road Trip for Jeep Rubicon

I understand your position and do not disagree with you. as long as your happy and it's what you want, it doesnt make two shits what anyone on this board has to say. You have to drive it and make the payments so you have to get what you want. If you do not like wrenching very much and don't want to ...

Re: Gears

The guy that said 4.10's has a set of used one's at home. He said he'll give 'em to me for like $200, is that a good price? I'm new to this and VERY knew to the mechanics of a Jeep, well, anything for that matter. Not really a deal in my book... you can get them NEW for about $230 or so m YUKON

Re: Gears

So, I'm not exactly following this, sorry for the limited knowledge, as you can tell I'm just getting into it lol. When you say 8.25 back end, you're talking about the rear axle? And obviously the 4.10 relates back to gears. Now, is 8.25 overkill for me? My Jeep is my daily driver and I don't see m...

Re: Gears

the 8.25 is a direct bolt in rear end where as the 44 and 8.8 are going to be a little harder to come by. The 8.25 isnt overkill at all its about perfect. you may be able to get away with the dana 35 but they are known to be weak. You can find a 8.25 cheap too since they came in alot of jeeps. You ...

Re: May soon become, "One of You" - Road Trip for Jeep Rubicon

(others I have seen have clearly been rooted around) This one has the transferrable warreties (almost none of the others did) This one has extremely low miles....

Your welcome and no problem. I would have pulled one off and checked them out for him, BUT I was sick as faw*. I really couldnt have handled rollin around under the Jeep to get one off. I just tried to point him in the right direction.
