When changing speedo gears.......a little FYI

Find the number ranges embossed onto the outside of the black part that holds the speedo gear. There will be a number range on 4 sides of the thing.

Insert the speedo gear into the tailshaft housing with the appropriate gear tooth range at the 6 o'clock position, straight down. There should be a little nub on the tailshaft housing to line it up to but it's difficult to see.

Thought this was pretty interesting..I had to idea that you had to match the tooth count with the little nub

yea i know this is old...but i had isues with mine. i didnt get it aligned today and I went 0 MPH the whole trip around the block. :lol:
