Hard Top How To's

Post by 06Unlimited » Fri Sep 26, 2008 11:42 am

**Mods I posted here so this could be seen for a few days. Could you move to Tech-Write ups after a few days of Off-Topic**

Guys I'm sure we all would have liked to have had this at the begining of summer but I just found them. An inexpensive alternative to those pricey stands.
Found a few diffrent plans. I 'm going to build the PVC one this weekend

Wooden

PVC

http://microbomb.com/files/Free_Stand.pdf === PDF for full insturcionts.

Hope you find these usefull and I'll post up pics when I get mine done

When it said 'how tos" I was hoping for a line stating something like "Always look for low hanging branches. They are hell on the corners of your hard top"
Otherwise, Great how to!

Gee Diana, maybe we should post a pic of what rolls around in our basement?

JD, did you ever print out the plans for the PVC rack you mentioned above?

The plans are no longer available at any of the links, but they will sell you the rack for almost $300 bucks.

That's good ol' American capitalism at work there!

I have the PDF file with the schematic for building this contraption (a friend on another Jeep board sent it to me).

Is there a way to post it up so it's available for everyone to see?

If not, just PM me your regular email address and I can shoot it out to you ASAP.

Got mine built this evening.........plans say not to glue it together, but I did anyway..........thought it would be more rigid.

Looks good. I think glueing it was a smart idea.
