Thought on a finds section in the classifieds.

Post by SLADE » Mon Sep 05, 2011 12:19 pm

What's everyone's thoughts on a section to post finds? Dealership or Road side Jeeps for sale, trailers, parts, or what ever it may be. Just something to help get the word out on items that otherwise may never be found by others that may be interested.

Require the ACTUAL sellers contact info/location and price if listed.

As long as its just a "find" and not trying to sell it for someone else. Been there-done that.

Building a capable off road Jeep is easy...building a street legal one that you can drive two hours away to wheel and then drive to work the following morning is the challenge.

I still have feelings against craigslist and ebay. Anyone can get on the computer and search Ebay and craigslist. Having page after page of ebay and craigslist links would still be clutter.

My thinking was more along the lines of local deals. Items that are NOT advertised on the internet. The unadvertised finds on the back roads, an item someone you know just put up for sale, a unique find on a dealers lot....

I agree with Slade (did I just say that? :D ). I don't think it should include anything you can find on the internet. If folks want that I think it should be its own sub forum.
