adjustable control arms

Post by kfbagt » Sun May 31, 2009 11:06 pm

i just bought some adjustable control arms for my tj (thanks vec) and i wanted to post up a review for folks who may have never ran them on their jeep.

I wish that I had known earlier what an improvement it would make for my rig. All, and I do mean all, of my driveline vibrations are gone, my jeep steers and handles better and i have no more bump steer. Also, all of the jeep squeaks have somehow managed to disappear. I am running 4 inches of lift, with a 1 inch body lift, currie motor mount lift, sye and cv style drive shaft. all of these things have been greatly improved by adding the adjustable arms. I stretched the wheelbase back out to regain what i lost when adding the lift. I gained nearly 2 inches.

If you have a short arm jeep that is lifted...your money would be well spent on adjustable control arms. I am sure some of the more experienced builders on here will have something else to say about the topic but i just wanted to give my .02 worth.
