Engine Upgrade

What all would you need to change a 2.5 to a 350 motor in a 98 Jeep Wrangler? (Besides the engine of course) I would greatly appreciate a good answer. I have the 350 out of a 84 chevy pick up. And also would i need the wireing harness from the 350 or would i need a whole new one? Thanks..

I'm no expert, but here's some of the major things.
Tranny and possibly T-case
complete wiring harness from the truck
motor mounts
A/C compressor and/or condenser
Power steering pump
New fuel lines too

A 350 swap in a newer jeep isn't easy or cheap. I mean stuffing a 6.1L hemi in it would be harder, but I think your drivetrain will be the biggest expense/problem. You're going to have to adapt to the current tranny with a $500+ adapter and still have a weak tranny or swap in a TH-400 and possibly a NP 205 tcase. Then your axles are the weak link unless you have Dana 44's or tougher.

If it ain't leakin' it must be empty.
