Black Betty JK

Just joined the forum today after owning (and modding) my 2008 Wrangler for the last 2 years. I figured i might as well start up a build thread ASAP and let everyone check out where all my time and money has gone.

We'll start with the first day I brought her home:

It was a little rough the edges with a little rust and a so-so top but it was black and a 6-speed so i had to have it.

First things first I went with new wheels and tires:

I went with the Level 8 tracker 15" wheel wrapped in 35/12.50/15 Goodyear Wrangler MTR's. I went with a little wider stance with these but I personally love the slightly wider look.

As i mentioned before the top that came with it was crap. The dealership i got it from cleverly masked that the back window was completely broken and of course it leaked around the doors so I picked up a new Bestop Trektop and I love it. Absolutely recommend this top for anyone who likes that "fast back" look.

So obviously there's not that much room between those MTR's and the stock fenders. I'm not super into the "cut" look so I decided it was time for a lift. Now I'm not loaded by any means so here is where I decided to try and save a little money for the time being. I went with a 18/59 coil swap from a 4 door JKU plus a .75" puck. This combo gave me right around 2" which isn't quite as much as I want but it was extremely affordable and got those fenders out of harms way.

I went with the home made stubby factory bumper for a while with ADP end caps and ran it that way until just last week:

I added a new front bumper and have a new rear bumper in the garage waiting for install. I've also added the high lift jack mounted on the hood as well as the stubby antenna, tail light guards, and a few other odds and ends.

This is how she sits today:

Lame parking lot shot I know but I haven't gotten any good pictures of the new set up but I will!! Thanks for checking out my build I'll be sure to update as I go along. If you have any questions feel free to ask away!

I almost forgot about these two! They love the Jeep almost as much as I do!
