Black Star Racing Commander builds

Post by MossMan » Tue Feb 07, 2012 11:27 pm

We picked up the first Commander X a couple weeks ago and took it for a spin. There's another one coming any day now but we needed to go ahead and start. From break in to tear down. It's time (or past time) to start the race prep. The first thing on the list will be new roll cages. So we've gotten all the stock cage off and will start bending tube.

ROTFLMAO!

So the bed tilts that way from the factory? IF so thats pretty cool. I know these are suppose to be a dual purpose machine but do you think they'd acutually be anygood on a farm? Like feeding cows and whatnot? Or are they just more of a sport SxS?

depends on how fast the cows can run. :vec: I suppose you could get a fair amount of work out of it. I don't know what the payload or towing capacity is but the bed definitely dumps. This is surely more toward sport than work.

I have a Polaris Ranger that is an absolute work horse but fun to play in as well.

We have one just like that and an 09 RZR. The Commander is far better for ripping in every aspect except for the fact I'm just not used to the commander yet. The RZR seems like it's got less hood and stuff infront of you. The 1000 is just awesome though. It'll walk right away from the RZR which has full exhaust, clutch kit, fuel controller, CDI, and EPI belt at any speed.

If it ain't leakin' it must be empty.

How in the hell do you have time for all this with working and three boys? Are you and Emily also cooking meth to stay awake? I need some pointers!

Haha, it's a full schedule for sure. And with two races a month on average it ain't gonna be easy. Plus Noah will be racing his dirtbike and we'll be on 5 soccer teams between three kids. :D gonna be a fun year!
